Second gear in my 929 went out a few days ago and I was just curiou if I could put the whole 1000rr transmission into my 929, because i have it just laying around the shop or will it just not fit/cause problems?.....i was also wondering if the 954 gears would work because i have been told that they would and i found a 954 motor with a drop valve for 70 bucks here locally. Any help/info would be greatly appreciated.

pop em in and if you can get em all to mesh and shift I don't see what kind of problems youd' have, it will probably be one of those it will work or not work at all deals...just be sure and use the whole set if you do it,

check the shift forks..... thats honda's weak link...

I believe the 929 engine has a different orientation compared to the 1000rr but may yes with some modifications.
