Hi everyone,

I'm currently working on a project that consists of mounting a CBR600RR 2004 engine into a single-seater car (similar to the Formula Student Projects).

I need some help and advice in terms of the gearbox.

Basically, what i would like to know is how to get the Neutral from the configuration 1st-Neutral-2nd to Neutral-1st-2nd ?

Also, I was looking of getting rid of the 5th and 6th gear and would like to know how to do this.

Could somebody also give some advice about the effects of changing the output sprocket shaft and also the effects of changing the gear ratios (also the best way to achieve that) please ?

Does someone also know what are the calculations involved in order to obtain the shifting force ?

Any ideas would be most welcomed.

I'm not sure about the shifting force, etc.. But the gearbox shifting from N to 1 to 2 should be easy. They have a race setup somewhere in an online store I was looking at last week where it goes N-1-2-3 not 1-N-2-3

Try searching "600rr rear set" on google, i know the one with the N-1-2-3 position is a race setup, can't find it anymore but i know there is one out there..

Seems to me like you would have to rearange the gears in the tranny and I dont know if they make a kit for that or not.

They have a shifter that goes N-1-2-3 for racing and quick shifts off the line. A friend of mine has it on his GSXR but im not sure if they even have it for cbr's
